Junior Process Engineer

About the role

The Junior Process Engineer will support the Engineering department in water‑treatment projects, working under the guidance of senior engineers. The role focuses on designing, commissioning, and optimizing process equipment while ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in engineering design from concept to detailed design, including sizing equipment and drafting process documentation such as P&IDs, control philosophies, and equipment datasheets.
• Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP sessions, and model reviews to provide process inputs.
• Contribute to facility commissioning activities, including process punching, dry, wet, and hot commissioning under senior supervision.
• Track and analyse production data, build custom Excel tools, and collaborate with IT to implement online reporting solutions.
• Define technical specifications, procure instruments and controls, and author specifications for major equipment.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot process equipment to meet production targets.
• Use process simulation software to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimisation measures.
