Control & Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to join our industrial team in Cape Town. You will work on complex process systems, optimise plant performance and deliver reliable automation solutions in a technically advanced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain control and instrumentation systems for mineral processing or mining operations.
• Support plant operations by ensuring optimal system performance, reliability and minimal downtime.
• Develop control philosophies, logic diagrams and instrumentation specifications.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise industrial control systems.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and multidisciplinary engineering teams on upgrades, modifications and process improvements.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning and performance validation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and industry standards.
• Interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and control system documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a C&I Engineer, preferably in mineral processing or mining.
• BEng or BTech degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering.
• South African residency or a valid work permit.
