Commodity Buyer

About the role

The Commodity Buyer will manage assigned commodity sourcing activities, develop supplier partnerships and lead commercial negotiations to support production and project requirements. This role is central to executing procurement strategies through sourcing, RFQ management, supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Source components and identify qualified suppliers.
• Manage RFQ processes and supplier evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial terms.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Support supplier development and performance improvement activities.
• Partner with engineering teams to support commercial decision‑making.
• Resolve supply‑chain and supplier‑related issues.
• Drive cost‑reduction and value‑improvement initiatives.
• Prepare sourcing recommendations and business cases.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing or supply‑chain management.
