Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain strict food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP protocols.
• Collaborate with chefs of all levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Uphold presentation and portion control standards for all dishes.
• Complete daily departmental duties and assist with additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• Recognised Culinary Diploma or minimum 2 years of experience in a similar kitchen role.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a commis or junior chef.
• Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Professional cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
