Commercial Insurance Internal Broker – Sandton

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Insurance Internal Broker to join our team in Sandton. You will be the primary internal point of contact for commercial clients, managing policy administration, renewals, and new business opportunities while ensuring compliance with South African regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main internal liaison for commercial clients, handling queries, policy amendments, and providing risk‑management advice.
• Manage end‑to‑end renewal cycles, gather underwriting data, negotiate quotes, and prepare client presentations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters to secure optimal terms and premiums.
• Ensure accurate policy administration on broker management systems and strict adherence to FAIS, FICA, and TCF regulations.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) minimum; tertiary qualification in Insurance, Risk or Finance is advantageous.
• Full FAIS credits (minimum 150) for Short‑Term Commercial Lines, completed RE5 exam, and up‑to‑date CPD hours.
• 3–5 years experience as an internal broker, underwriter or account handler in Commercial Short‑Term Insurance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with broker administration systems such as Cardinal, SSP or Ski.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and general MS Office suite.
