Commercial Financial Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a CA(SA) qualified Commercial Financial Manager to turn plant data into actionable commercial insight. Working closely with senior leadership, engineering and operations, you will translate financial and operational metrics into clear recommendations that drive better business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership, engineering, production and commercial teams to improve business performance.
• Analyse financial and operational data from the manufacturing plant to spot trends, risks and opportunities.
• Create management reports, dashboards and visualisations that simplify complex data.
• Assess production volumes, product mix, costs, margins and efficiencies.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate operational and commercial decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning, and analyse budget‑vs‑actual performance.
• Identify cost‑reduction, efficiency‑improvement and margin‑enhancement opportunities.
• Provide clear, data‑driven recommendations to senior management.
• Maintain KPIs and performance dashboards, and contribute to strategic and ad‑hoc commercial analysis.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (essential).
• Post‑qualification experience in commercial finance, financial management, FP&A or finance business partnering.
• Strong experience within a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Proven ability to analyse both financial and operational data.
