Clinical Nurse (R/N) – PB Qualified – 6‑Month Pediatric ICU

About the role

The Professional Nurse (PB Qualified) will provide holistic, person‑centred nursing care to patients in the Paediatric ICU at Waterfall City Hospital. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, applying nursing theories to address the physical, social and spiritual needs of children and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for paediatric ICU patients.
• Document all nursing interventions accurately and timely.
• Act as a clinical resource, supporting staff in delivering high‑quality care.
• Communicate effectively with families and health‑care professionals, advocating for patient needs.
• Coordinate care within the multi‑disciplinary team to ensure continuity and safety.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a PB qualification (South Africa).
• Ability to deliver holistic, person‑centred care in a high‑acuity environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to the values of care, truth, participation, compassion and dignity.
