Clinical Associate – Primary & Virtual Care

About the role

Netclinic is seeking a qualified Clinical Associate to lead day‑to‑day clinical operations at its Watergate clinic in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town. The role blends traditional community‑based primary care with modern virtual health services, allowing the professional to see patients both in‑person and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments and treatment within the scope of practice.
• Manage common acute and chronic conditions, prescribe appropriately and follow clinical governance protocols.
• Provide patient education, preventive care and refer or escalate cases when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with Netclinic policies and SOPs.
• Deliver virtual consultations via Netclinic’s digital platforms, including assessment, treatment planning and electronic prescribing.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP) or recognised equivalent.
• Current HPCSA registration as a Clinical Associate with professional indemnity cover.
• Strong primary‑healthcare assessment skills and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable conducting virtual consultations and using digital health systems.
