About the role
The Laingsburg Municipality is seeking two dedicated individuals to join its Corporate Services division as Cleaners/Messengers. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment across municipal offices while providing internal messenger support.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and uphold hygiene standards in all municipal facilities, ensuring spaces are tidy and sanitary.
- Deliver messenger services, transporting documents and small items between departments promptly and securely.
- Prepare and serve tea and refreshments for staff, supporting daily office operations.
Required profile
- Basic literacy equivalent to Grade 9.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience in cleaning or messenger duties.
- Medically fit and physically capable of performing cleaning and messenger tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
