Chief of Staff – Technology Strategy

About the role

The Chief of Staff will partner with the CTO to drive the technology strategy, governance and performance reporting across the firm. This senior position blends strategic planning, financial oversight and operational excellence in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the annual and rolling technology strategy process, aligning group priorities with technology direction.
• Design and maintain governance structures for effective decision‑making at senior forums.
• Lead performance and value‑management reporting, delivering insights on delivery, spend and outcomes.
• Manage the Office’s planning cadence, coordinating agendas, briefings and key engagements for the CTO.
• Support technology P&L, budget oversight and investment prioritisation in collaboration with Finance.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve Office efficiency.
• Act as the central communication hub for the CTO and Chief of Staff function at an enterprise level.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of high‑performance experience in management consulting, project/portfolio management, strategy or a similar Chief of Staff/Office of CTO role.
• Background working within or alongside technology organisations.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder processes and deliver senior‑level outputs.
• Strong financial management skills, comfortable with budgets, performance data and investment cases.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve process efficiency.
