Chief Accountant – Group Finance (Permanent)

About the role

Senwes is seeking a Chief Accountant to provide effective financial and technical accounting support to Group Finance, coordinating the Group’s financial reporting, consolidation, compliance and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Group’s monthly financial reporting and consolidation processes.
• Coordinate and oversee interim and annual financial reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and business drivers, identify process and cost‑saving opportunities, and implement improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide technical accounting guidance, monitor changes in accounting standards and legislation, and ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements and financial governance practices across the Group.
• Supervise, develop and support finance employees.
• Support the delivery of Group Finance objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• Registered CA(SA).
• Minimum 2 years post‑articles experience.
• Experience with Group financial consolidations and reporting.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Experience working with auditors and managing audit deliverables.
