Chartered Accountant – Mining Finance

About the role

We are looking for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to join our Head Office finance team in Centurion. This position offers the chance to move beyond pure accounting into broader financial management within a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts.
• Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
• Monitor cash‑flow requirements and contribute to treasury reporting.
• Review reconciliations, investigate variances and ensure month‑end accruals are accurate.
• Coordinate audit deliverables and respond to auditor queries.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and tax compliance filings (VAT, income tax, provisional tax).
• Oversee creditor payments, supplier reconciliations and internal control improvements.
• Guide and review the work of junior finance team members.
• Assist the Senior Accountant with board reporting, finance projects and ad‑hoc analysis.

Required profile

• Newly qualified CA(SA) with at least 2 years post‑articles experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to work under pressure.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑driven and capable of effective communication.
