About the role

We are looking for a Care Worker to join our hospital team, supporting nursing unit staff in delivering safe, high‑quality patient care. The role involves direct assistance on the ward, ensuring patients receive attentive and compassionate support throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with daily patient care activities and promote a positive patient experience.
• Identify and report risks in accordance with hospital policies.
• Provide administrative support, including documentation and stock control.
• Ensure efficient use of required stock and accurate charging.
• Participate in continuous personal development to enhance competence.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification as a Care Worker (essential).
• Grade 12 education (desired).
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment.

Required skills

• Understanding of stock control principles.
• Ability to report and document events/tasks accurately.
• Knowledge of medico‑legal risks.
• Familiarity with administrative tasks.
• Understanding of patient experience and care principles.
• Application of infection prevention and control principles.
