Camp Manager & Field Guide Couple – Luxury Lodge in Kruger

About the role

Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking a dedicated couple to fill two pivotal positions at its luxury lodge deep within the Mluwati Concession of Kruger National Park. One partner will serve as Camp Manager, overseeing daily operations and guest experience, while the other will act as Field Guide, delivering immersive wildlife experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Camp Manager: manage lodge operations, lead staff, ensure financial control, maintain health & safety standards, and drive continuous improvement.
• Field Guide: conduct game drives and bush walks, share detailed knowledge of wildlife, birds, plants and local culture, and ensure guest safety.
• Both: uphold compliance with SANParks regulations, handle emergency response, and maintain vehicles and equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in camp or lodge management (Manager) and 3 years’ Big 5 guiding experience (Guide).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and crisis‑management abilities for the Manager role.
• Valid South African Guide’s Licence, PDP FGASA NQF 4 certification and DEAT registration for the Guide role.
• First‑aid certification, basic mechanical/electrical knowledge and off‑road driving proficiency.
• Fluency in English; additional African language or foreign language skills are advantageous.
• Professional, guest‑centric demeanor with the ability to work independently under pressure.
