About the role
Shrike Marine, a manufacturer of handmade application‑specific cables for defence, aviation and other critical sectors, is looking for a Cable Technician to join its Cape Town workshop. The role involves wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on complex assembly units.
Key responsibilities
- Build, repair and modify high‑quality cable assemblies.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, schematics, bills of materials and diagrams to assemble cables and wire harnesses.
Required profile
- Matric (high school) qualification minimum.
- Unendorsed driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Immediate availability.
- Previous experience as an assembler in a similar environment is an advantage.
- IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 qualification preferred.
Required skills
- Wiring and component installation.
- Hand soldering.
- Cable harnessing.
- Reading manufacturing drawings, schematics and bills of materials.
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards.
What we offer
- Competitive remuneration of R6,500.00.
