Business Manager

About the role

The Business Manager will lead day‑to‑day operations, drive sales growth and oversee recruitment performance while ensuring financial discipline and exceptional client service. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on operational management to build a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations and support the Managing Director in achieving strategic objectives.
• Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to increase revenue and expand client accounts.
• Manage recruitment operations, monitor performance metrics, and ensure service excellence.
• Lead, coach and develop managers and staff, implementing performance management and KPIs.
• Control operational budgets, analyse financial performance and drive cost efficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with labour legislation, company policies and manage operational risks.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Business Management, HR, Commerce, Operations Management or related field.
• Proven management experience in a target‑driven environment, preferably within recruitment, temporary employment services, financial services or insurance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead sales and operational teams and achieve placement targets.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget management.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
