Business Manager (Heidelberg)

About the role

This is a sales management position based in the Gauteng office in Boksburg, responsible for an existing and experienced hybrid team of 15 to 20 Financial Advisers. The incumbent ensures the team's profitability by managing results, resources and risks within the area's business plan, and contributes to the leadership of the geographical area as a member of the MANCO.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team: set strategy and business plan direction, motivate people and coach advisers, including recruitment, selection and performance management.
• Manage key accounts and complex customer relationships, including prospecting new accounts, and sell complex product and service solutions.
• Drive sales, practice management, compliance and risk management, and oversee the business processes of conservation, outstanding business, financing, administration and client care.
• Manage budgets and expenses, and use the formal development framework to build the team's professional capabilities.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent.
• FAIS compliant with a Financial Planning certificate or equivalent qualification with at least 120 credits at NQF level 5, and passed RE 5 level 1.
• Accredited on all products distributed by PFA and on other optional products; preferably 24 months' service as a Financial Advisor.
• Previous experience as a sales manager is preferable.
