Business Development Specialist

About the role

FutureSoft, the leading South African debt recovery software provider, is looking for a Business Development Specialist to join its Pretoria‑based team. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on identifying new business opportunities, securing client appointments and supporting the sales cycle from lead generation to proposal delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct targeted online research to discover prospective corporate, legal and collection agency clients and build a high‑quality sales pipeline.
• Perform outbound cold‑calling to introduce FutureSoft solutions and generate interest.
• Coordinate, schedule and confirm product demonstration appointments with prospects.
• Maintain and update lead tracking systems and CRM with accurate contact details and engagement histories.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, assist in proposal development and ensure seamless hand‑over to the sales team.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams to align business development activities with company goals.

Required profile

• Proven success in B2B sales and deal‑making, with a track record of meeting targets.
• Strong analytical abilities for market research, trend identification and business opportunity assessment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging clients and presenting solutions.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
