Business Development Manager – Industrial Software

About the role

Digital Industries (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for its industrial software solutions. The role reports to the Head of Sales and suits a results-driven person who thrives in complex, high-value sales environments.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the business development strategy for industrial software solutions.
• Build executive-level relationships with decision-makers in mining, manufacturing and energy sectors.
• Lead solution-based selling initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities and grow market share with new customers.
• Achieve net new sales growth targets and own sales in qualified tenders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and monitor market trends and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Matric; a relevant diploma or certification is preferred.
• 7+ years in B2B/B2E sales, preferably in industrial software or technology solutions.
• Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals and hitting targets.
• Strong understanding of industrial processes and digital transformation.
• Ability to travel within the SADC region.

Required skills

• Sales and negotiation, including consultative selling and complex deal management.
• CRM tools and data analytics, with interpretation of KPIs.
• Presentation skills to C-level executives and ability to write business cases and proposals.
• Leadership of cross-functional teams and alignment of sales, marketing and product.
