Business Development Manager – Corporate Training

About the role

This position requires a strategic, high‑energy hunter who will aggressively target the corporate sector, build a pipeline from scratch and act as a commercial advisor for training solutions. The successful candidate will conduct deep organisational needs analyses, lead complex B2B consultations and identify training and compliance gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, cold‑call and generate new B2B opportunities, building a lucrative client list from the ground up.
• Travel to prospective corporate clients to pitch, promote and sell the organisation’s training portfolios.
• Educate CEOs, HR Directors and Skills Development Facilitators on the benefits of various training programmes.
• Attend industry events and networking forums to raise brand presence and capture leads.
• Conduct rigorous needs analyses to uncover gaps and design customised corporate training programmes.
• Maintain the CRM database and execute structured follow‑up strategies for all prospects.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate – compulsory; B‑Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources, Business Management or related field is advantageous.
• Valid Code B (Code 08) driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Expert‑level knowledge of B‑BBEE codes and how skills‑development spend impacts corporate scorecards.
• Sound understanding of South African legislative frameworks (SETA, QCTO, WSP, ATR).
• Attributes: natural hunter, strong consultative communication, active listening and self‑starter autonomy.

What we offer

• Salary range R15 000–R20 000 per month, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
• Commission structure, travel reimbursement and cellphone allowance.
