Business Development Manager – Affiliate (South Africa)

About the role

MEXC, a global cryptocurrency exchange, is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead affiliate, KOL and influencer partnerships in South Africa. You will own the end‑to‑end partnership strategy, driving user acquisition and revenue growth for the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a data‑driven business development strategy for KOL, influencer and affiliate channels.
• Build and expand a high‑quality network of local KOLs, influencers, affiliates and strategic marketing partners.
• Own regional partnership performance, monitoring KPIs such as ROI, CAC, conversion rates and partner quality.
• Identify new distribution channels, emerging business opportunities and strategic collaborations.
• Track local market dynamics, competitor moves and regulatory changes to inform growth initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, product and operations teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
• Continuously improve partnership models, incentive structures and regional growth playbooks.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, affiliate marketing or KOL management, preferably in crypto, fintech or digital trading.
• Strong understanding of the crypto ecosystem, including exchanges, trading products and community‑driven growth models.
• Proven track record of building and managing KOL/influencer or affiliate partnerships with measurable business impact.
• Deep knowledge of the local market ecosystem, including KOL landscape and online communities.
