Business Development Consultant

About the role

We are a fast‑growing cloud accounting firm seeking a proactive Business Development Consultant to expand our client base. This hybrid position combines on‑site visits to business owners with online community engagement, allowing you to generate qualified leads and build lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and participation in online business communities.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase our capabilities and network with potential clients.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and customized proposals.
• Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts.
• Follow up with prospects to address questions, overcome objections, and secure commitments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales or a related field (advantageous).
• 2‑3 years of business development or sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Proven track record in lead generation and closing deals within corporate and SME sectors.
• Experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when speaking with business owners.
• Self‑driven, resilient, and based in Johannesburg with reliable transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using CRM systems.
