Business Development Manager – SAP

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager – SAP to accelerate the growth of SAP‑led services across South Africa and the wider African region. The role will combine deep SAP knowledge with strong market connections to build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities in key industry verticals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new SAP‑focused opportunities across public sector, retail, mining, utilities and oil & gas.
• Own end‑to‑end pipeline development from lead generation through to deal support and closure.
• Collaborate with SAP South Africa sales teams, country leadership and ecosystem partners on joint pursuits and go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Align SAP offerings (S/4HANA, Cloud, industry solutions) with customer business priorities and drive demand‑creation campaigns.
• Provide market feedback to internal BDMs, presales and delivery teams and participate in pipeline reviews and forecasting.

Required profile

• Proven track record in business development or sales within the SAP ecosystem.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage senior C‑level stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of South African market dynamics and key industry challenges.
• Experience working with SAP partners and ecosystem collaborators.
