Business Development Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Consultant to drive new client acquisition and grow existing accounts for a leading security solutions provider. The role combines strategic planning, market research and hands‑on sales to increase turnover, market share and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new business opportunities across direct and indirect sales channels.
• Develop and present proposals, ensuring accurate design, costing and alignment with corporate branding.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to increase footprint and revenue.
• Prepare and present quarterly business plans and performance reports.
• Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to senior management.
• Travel locally and internationally to meet clients and attend industry events.
• Maintain records, reports and account‑related reporting for clients.
• Collaborate with the Bidvest group to leverage cross‑company opportunities.

Required profile

• BBA, BCom or similar qualification (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in the technical security field.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and PSIRA registration.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and abroad.

Required skills

• High proficiency in MS Office.
