About the role
International Tyre Company is seeking a General Manager to lead its South African sales operation, based in the Gauteng region. The role involves planning and developing the SA sales team, creating market‑winning strategies and overseeing monthly buying and pricing policies.
Key responsibilities
- Drive overall profitability and achieve sales targets across key customers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing policies and monthly marketing plans.
- Negotiate purchase prices, place production orders and manage stock mix to meet targets.
- Monitor collections, credit terms and receivables to ensure timely payments.
- Provide market intelligence on competitor pricing and activities to senior management.
Required profile
- Minimum 15 years experience in the tyre industry, including at least 5 years in a senior sales management role.
- Proven wholesale experience and strong knowledge of PCR processes.
- Qualification in Sales and Marketing and ability to travel as needed.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- PCR (Purchase Cost Review) knowledge.
