About the role
The City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a Business Desk Manager to lead a one‑stop‑shop registration and licensing service for corporate clients. The role involves overseeing a functional unit within the licensing division and ensuring delivery of set objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and control a one‑stop‑shop registration and licensing service for corporate clients.
- Lead a functional unit accountable for achieving defined objectives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational strategy for the business area.
- Communicate operational context to promote best practice implementation.
- Plan and manage operational activities in line with divisional goals.
- Anticipate and resolve problems promptly, communicating with stakeholders.
- Oversee teams within defined processes and manage human‑resource activities of the business desk.
Required profile
- Relevant B‑Degree or NQF Level 7 qualification.
- 3–5 years experience in a licensing environment.
- Business management experience (advantageous).
