Business Consultant – Financial Services (Mpumalanga)

About the role

The Business Consultant will drive sales of the company’s product range across Mpumalanga by building strong broker relationships and delivering superior client service backed by solid technical knowledge. The role involves travelling throughout South Africa to support financial advisors and ensure the company’s offerings remain competitive.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and financial advisors.
• Review, follow up and track the new business pipeline.
• Prepare and issue quotations for products and services.
• Provide technical training and ongoing product support to advisors.
• Handle queries and supply information on sales and service issues.
• Liaise with internal departments to guarantee high‑quality client service.
• Monitor competitor products, services and industry developments.
• Participate in proactive sales and marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Own insured transport, cell phone and a valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel across South Africa for business purposes.
• Assertive, self‑confident, honest, resilient and results‑driven.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and manage stressful situations.
• Minimum NQF 5 qualification in Wealth Management, Financial Planning or RE5; a business degree is advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of medical aid products and underwriting processes.
• Experience in broker consulting within the financial services industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
