Business Analyst – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Business Analyst to join our Intermediary Applications pod within a leading financial services technology provider. The role is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, hybrid work model, focused on bridging complex wealth‑management processes with cutting‑edge AI‑enhanced solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with intermediaries, operations teams and product owners to elicit business pain points and translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse existing financial advisory workflows, identify bottlenecks and propose AI‑driven process improvements.
• Utilise SQL and data‑modelling techniques to interrogate large datasets, applying AI/ML concepts for trend prediction and anomaly detection.
• Support CIO‑led AI initiatives by identifying opportunities to embed NLP or predictive analytics into the application suite.
• Facilitate workshops, sprint planning and showcase sessions to ensure alignment between business and technical teams.
• Participate in system testing and user‑acceptance testing to verify solution quality.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of Business Analyst experience in Financial Services, preferably with exposure to wealth‑management or intermediary platforms.
• Proven track record delivering full‑SDLC/Agile application projects.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, problem‑solving mindset and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• SQL and data‑analysis tools.
• AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or custom machine‑learning models.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• API integration experience.
• Cloud platforms – Azure and/or AWS.
