Bus & Heavy Vehicle Drivers (Code 11 & 14)

About the role

Kidrogen is looking for reliable, safety‑focused professional drivers with a valid Code 11 or Code 14 licence and a Passenger Driver Permit (PrDP) to operate buses on scheduled routes from the Stables Depot in Killarney/Dunoon.

Key responsibilities

• Operate buses safely on assigned routes and adhere to timetables.
• Perform internal and external pre‑trip inspections in line with K53 standards.
• Report any vehicle defects promptly to dispatch or supervisors.
• Sign‑in on dispatch sheets and complete waybills, recording kilometres and operating times.
• Ensure compliance with national traffic regulations, company policies and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or higher.
• Valid Code 11 (EC1) or Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with a current PrDP.
• Clear criminal record and outstanding warrants clearance.
• 2–3 years of driving experience in the transport sector (bus experience preferred).
• Medically fit and committed to sober habits.

Required skills

• Vehicle pre‑trip inspection according to K53 standards.
• Waybill completion and kilometre logging.
• Knowledge of South African road rules and traffic regulations.
