Brand and Sales Ambassador - Laboratory & Analytical Technology

About the role

IKA, a family-owned company founded in 1910 and active worldwide, is looking for a Brand and Sales Ambassador for its Laboratory & Analytical Technology business in South Africa. You will represent IKA externally, strengthen its brand image and generate sales opportunities through marketing and sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth in your assigned sales territory and independently expand market share while improving customer satisfaction
• Act as the local contact for IKA customers and channel partners and maintain strong relationships
• Carry out local sales and marketing activities as directed by sales management
• Visit existing and potential new customers and channel partners to present IKA solutions
• Identify sales opportunities across targeted industries and close deals successfully
• Support local channel partners in promoting the IKA brand and closing sales
• Answer inquiries and give feedback on the IKA portfolio, customer requests, market trends and competitor activity
• Maintain customer data and report activities through the IKA CRM system

Required profile

• First experience in sales
• Reliable and professional demeanor, quick learner with a strong desire for knowledge
• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory
• Strong spoken and written English
• Technical or scientific education is a plus, but not mandatory
• Driving licence and own car desirable

Required skills

• Outgoing personality and strong communication and negotiation skills
• Basic understanding of IKA products and applications
• Identification with the IKA brand
