Branch Operator / Fleet (Kuils River)

About the role

The company, a national transport and truck‑rental provider, is looking for an experienced Branch Operator to manage fleet operations at its Kuils River location. The role involves coordinating vehicle availability, handling customer enquiries and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day branch activities.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and other branches regarding bookings and vehicle availability.
• Arrange and oversee vehicle services, COF (Certificate of Fitness) and licensing.
• Manage vehicle abuse incidents, obtain quotes from panel beaters and process insurance claims.
• Prepare workshop and branch risk assessments, gate passes and closing documentation.
• Support fuel slip processing, fuel reconciliations and VMR reporting.
• Maintain workshop and customer liaison, assist other branches, and handle fleet pack/month‑end tasks.
• Control key issuance, petty cash, insurance confirmations and traffic fine processing.
• Coordinate driver scheduling, breakdown response, after‑hours standby and invoicing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in branch or fleet operations within the transport sector.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple administrative tasks.
• Excellent communication for customer and internal liaison.
