Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

The Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor will work in a Sanlam Retail Mass branch, providing sound financial advice and high‑level client service. You will promote a range of affordable insurance and savings products while building lasting relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Sanlam Retail Mass products and increase market share through cross‑selling and client optimisation.
• Provide tailored financial advice based on customers' needs, goals and financial means.
• Manage daily appointments, walk‑in clients and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Validate client details, submit new business, and conduct due‑diligence to identify risks.
• Service client portfolios, send payment reminders, and manage persistency of payments.
• Handle policy cancellations, propose alternatives, and resolve client queries or escalate when necessary.
• Stay updated on product changes, regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a focus on delivering financial solutions.
• In‑depth understanding of Sanlam Retail Mass product ranges.
• Ability to assess customer needs and match appropriate products.
• Excellent client‑service mindset and capacity to manage multiple appointments.
• Attention to regulatory compliance and risk identification.
