BIM Modeller

About the role

Our client, an established consulting engineering practice, is seeking a BIM Modeller to join their design team in Cape Town. This role offers the chance to develop skills across a varied portfolio of commercial and building‑services projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D BIM models across architectural, structural, and/or building services disciplines.
• Convert design information and 2D drawings into accurate, coordinated 3D models.
• Support basic clash detection and coordination with other project disciplines.
• Produce drawings, schedules and documentation from BIM models.
• Maintain model accuracy in line with internal BIM standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure models reflect current design intent.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in draughting, engineering, or a related built‑environment field.
• 3+ years' BIM modelling experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of coordination and clash detection principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
