Maintenance Coordinator – 6 Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Our client, a leading property management company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join their facilities team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The role is ideal for a proactive, organised individual who thrives in a fast‑paced facilities environment and can effectively coordinate maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the procurement administration process, issue job cards, contact suppliers, follow up on tasks and close job cards.
• Coordinate all appointments for the Facilities Manager and set up quarterly tenant meetings and service provider sessions.
• Provide tenants with service disruption updates and general communications.
• Attend SLA meetings, take minutes and conduct self‑performance reviews.
• Assume Building Manager duties when the manager is absent.
• Collate contractor documents for vendor approval and maintain the site contract and asset databases.
• Assist the Facility Manager with capital expenditure projects and building inspection repairs.

Required profile

• Matric (essential) with at least 2 years of facilities administration experience.
• Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to coordinate maintenance requests, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Solid problem‑solving, decision‑making and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Availability to commence a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.
