Benefits Specialist

About the role

A global investment advisory firm focused on long-term value creation is hiring a Benefits Specialist in Cape Town. The role is a 6-month contract, hybrid, and sits within a team that invests heavily in employee wellness and offers industry-leading benefits on top of generous basic salaries. Candidates can work in the office daily or choose a hybrid in-office / remote arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day resolution of benefits and pension queries.
• Assist with implementations and strategic proposals, such as pension provision reviews.
• Manage onboarding processes and renewals for risk and medical plans.
• Conduct integrations and GAP analyses of benefits and pension provisions.
• Analyse medical, sickness and IP claims data to develop a preventative, data-driven approach to employee wellbeing, including updating medical plan designs.

Required profile

• Minimum of 7 years in pensions and employee benefits; a background in both consultancy and in-house roles is preferred.
• Experience in finance, banking or private equity is an advantage.
• Self-starter with strong collaborative skills, initiative and effective communication.
• Demonstrated commitment to integrity, accountability and teamwork.
