Banking Technical Consultant (SA)

About the role

SAP Fioneer is looking for a Banking Technical Consultant to join its SAP Technical team within the Banking Business Unit. The consultant works with clients who are installing or upgrading to the latest version of the SAP Fioneer banking platform, helping them convert their software and identify value-adding opportunities. The role covers both sales and delivery of banking projects, including pre-sales, proposal writing, client interaction and implementation, and involves travel to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Work with banks' Solution Architects, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to define the scope of work.
• Provide SAP Fioneer Banking technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
• Advise on platform conversion options (TRBK on S/4 HANA) and legacy system migration to the SAP Banking platform.
• Train and mentor junior resources and contribute to the team strategy.
• Record requirements from specialist departments and create solution concepts, design and build artefacts.
• Produce technical architecture, configuration and integration design documents, and act as Design Authority for approved scope of work.
• Integrate SAP Fioneer solutions into channels and downstream systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, computer science, technology or engineering.
• 8+ years of consulting experience in at least three SAP core banking domains such as deposits, loans, master contracts, collateral management and payments.
• Experience with modern SAP technologies such as API management, REST/OData and event-driven architecture.
• Client-facing service experience and ability to engage stakeholders and run information-sharing sessions.
• Understanding of emerging AI trends and willingness to apply AI-driven techniques.

Required skills

• Functional knowledge of SAP Banking modules such as Deposit Management, Loans Management and Master Contract Management.
• Proficiency in ABAP technologies (ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Reports, SmartForms, ALE/IDOC, Web Dynpro ABAP, OO ABAP).
• Solid SAP Fioneer Banking project experience, including implementation, upgrades, legacy migrations and data migration.
• Business writing and presentation skills.
