AWS Engineer – Cloud (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure for high‑traffic applications. This remote contract position works with a global leader in IT services, focusing on performance, cost optimization, and security across AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Monitor system health with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party tools to ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to AWS services, networking, and security configurations.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for compliance and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
• Strong background in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks.
