AWS DevOps / Cloud Engineer – Build Scalable Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, build and maintain resilient cloud infrastructure for a fast‑growing payments and financial‑transactions platform. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate processes, ensure high availability and support rapid software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, secure and highly available AWS environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation to improve consistency and automation.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, proactively resolving issues before they affect users.
• Apply cloud security best practices, governance controls and compliance requirements.
• Support disaster recovery, backup strategies and business continuity planning.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proven experience designing and supporting production AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, networking and infrastructure management.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, ECS/EKS, Lambda.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
• Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
