Audit Manager – Large & Complex (KZN)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Audit Manager to lead large and complex audit engagements within the Public Commercial sector in KwaZulu‑Natal. You will support senior leadership in delivering high‑quality audit services, managing teams, and contributing to the firm’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Partner and Senior Manager in delivering designated audit engagements, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Manage audit teams on client sites, overseeing day‑to‑day activities, budgeting, and profitability.
• Communicate audit engagement agreements to team members and monitor adherence throughout the project.
• Contribute to business development by supporting regional winning opportunities and cross‑service line collaboration.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior staff and counselees.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (South Africa) with at least one year of post‑articles experience.
• Experience in a client‑facing management role within audit or assurance.
• Proven ability to manage audit budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
• Strong understanding of risk and quality management in audit engagements.
