Associate Mechanical Designer

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Mechanical Designer to support project leaders, designers and engineers in component selection and layout design for innovative oil‑and‑gas products and systems. You will prepare detailed drawings, analyse feasibility and contribute to system development while following company procedures and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project leaders, designers or engineers in selecting components and detailing design elements.
• Create layout and design of assigned areas according to company standards.
• Develop general arrangements or base systems based on customer needs.
• Analyse data to determine feasibility of product proposals.
• Prepare product or system layouts with detailed drawings and schematics.
• Review work orders and procedural manuals for critical content.
• Calculate conversion figures for production processes.
• Support systems development, including drafting standards, parts‑list systems and computer programming.
• Perform additional work‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of drafting experience (graduates will also be considered).
• Ability to evaluate results, scope task difficulty and analyse resource efficiency.
