Assistant Accountant

About the role

The Assistant Accountant will support the finance team in both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments and reconciliations. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and prepare supplier payments.
• Maintain supplier reconciliations and forward cover reports.
• Prepare F110 runs and assist with general ledger tasks.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and month‑end ICM balances.
• Support month‑end GL reconciliations and SAP@Kons/HMR reporting.
• Assist with cash‑flow scheduling, foreign payments and FX SARB approvals.
• Perform accounts receivable age analysis, receipt scheduling and statement reconciliations.
• Prepare audit documentation and monthly reconciliation control files.

Required profile

• Recognised Accounting Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency.
• Minimum of 5 years SAP experience within a finance department.
