Area Sales Manager

About the role

Our client is seeking an Area Sales Manager to act as a brand ambassador, leading a team of Customer Sales Consultants and delivering sales services to customers across the assigned region. The role involves driving sales growth, managing budgets, and implementing the company’s multichannel strategy to ensure sustained profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an up‑to‑date planning system for all customers.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Customer Sales Consultants to meet monthly and annual budgets.
• Accountable for sales growth, profit margins and customer balance growth of each team member.
• Implement the company’s multichannel and sales strategies within the group.
• Travel with consultants up to 15 days per month and conduct regular 1‑on‑1 and group meetings.
• Prepare workout reports, administration tasks and ensure accurate data management.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and identify business development opportunities.
• Recruit, train, coach and, when necessary, handle disciplinary actions for team members.
• Maintain inter‑departmental relationships and ensure consistent communication of company focus topics.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent; pursuing or completed a marketing or business degree/diploma is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager.
• Strong communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Goal‑driven, self‑motivated with a proven sales track record.
• High level of commitment and ability to write reports.
