Appointment Setter

About the role

The Appointment Setter will drive outbound business activity across the UK healthcare and social care sector. Working remotely from South Africa, you will turn cold prospects into qualified meetings and active client opportunities, supporting a specialist healthcare recruitment agency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑volume outbound cold calls to UK healthcare and social care organisations.
• Identify and target decision‑makers in care homes, supported living providers, nursing homes and similar entities.
• Qualify prospects, understand their staffing needs and book qualified meetings for the sales team.
• Follow up consistently via phone, email and other channels, nurturing relationships through to conversion.
• Maintain accurate activity records in the CRM and report on key performance indicators.
• Achieve agreed activity, meeting and conversion targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a sales or appointment‑setting role with a strong track record of booking qualified meetings.
• Excellent cold‑calling and telephone sales skills, comfortable handling objections and rejection.
• Experience working with the UK market and communicating with senior decision‑makers.
• Highly target‑driven, resilient and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage a high volume of prospects.
