Analyst Programmer – Mobile Applications

About the role

We are seeking an Analyst Programmer specialized in mobile applications to design, develop, and support solutions that streamline clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes. The role bridges clinical needs with cutting‑edge mobile technology, ensuring secure, efficient access to health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy and maintain iOS/Android mobile apps that integrate with electronic medical records, PACS and other clinical systems.
• Gather and analyse business requirements, produce functional and technical specifications, and design scalable solutions.
• Participate in assigned project modules, delivering on schedule while keeping clinical and IT stakeholders informed.
• Conduct thorough testing, documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA, POPIA and other regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior programmers, share best practices and support team objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements in development practices, technology stacks and user experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of mobile app development (iOS and/or Android) and at least 3 years with the Flutter framework.
• Proven experience in systems analysis, software lifecycle management and integration with healthcare platforms.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Desirable: certifications in Android/Kotlin or iOS/Swift, ITIL Foundation, Agile/Scrum; exposure to HL7/FHIR standards and cloud mobile back‑ends.

Required skills

• Flutter, Dart, and deep knowledge of the Flutter widget system.
• State‑management solutions such as Provider, Bloc, Riverpod or GetX.
• Native mobile development: Swift/Objective‑C (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android).
• RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming and third‑party libraries.
• Version control with Git.
• Cloud back‑ends: Firebase, AWS Mobile Hub.
• Healthcare integration standards: HL7, FHIR.
