Accounting Manager – Finance & Accounting

About the role

This position supports the day‑to‑day execution of general‑ledger processes, providing clients with guidance and ensuring accurate financial records. The role is based in Knysna and is a full‑time, on‑site position within the Finance & Accounting department.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting projects and standard‑operating‑procedure audits across the property.
• Perform account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution.
• Generate timely financial reports and presentations for internal and client use.
• Monitor taxes, document profit and loss accurately, and complete period‑end functions.
• Maintain a strong control environment to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (no experience required) OR a 2‑year degree with at least 2 years of finance/accounting experience.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate information and choose effective solutions.
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines and work collaboratively with other units.

Required skills

• Knowledge of general‑ledger processes and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and ledger reconciliation.
• Familiarity with tax monitoring and period‑end closing procedures.
