Accounting & Finance Manager

About the role

The client seeks an Accounting & Finance Manager to lead end‑to‑end financial management of their accounting services. Based in the Cape Winelands, the role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and provides decision‑support insights for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cash flow, treasury, and weekly cash flow projections.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting in Xero, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and fixed‑asset registers.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI reporting.
• Ensure tax compliance: VAT201, EMP201/EMP501, provisional tax (IRP6), and corporate tax (IT14) filings.
• Process payroll via SimplePay and maintain PAYE, UIF, and SDL compliance.
• Produce annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs and support audit processes.
• Maintain governance controls, meet SARS filing deadlines, and manage internal financial procedures.
• Recruit, supervise, train, and performance‑manage a team of accountants.

Required profile

• SAIPA/SAIT registration and active Tax Practitioner status.
• Proven experience overseeing accounting records, management reporting, tax compliance, cash‑flow management, and staff supervision.
• Professional body membership with ongoing CPD compliance.
