Accountant – Restaurant Operations

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established multi‑entity group to find a commercially‑minded Accountant for a busy, high‑turnover restaurant operation. Based on‑site, you will lead financial controls, ensure accurate reporting and support the fast‑moving environment with strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and year‑end close processes and prepare management accounts.
• Analyse food cost, labour cost and overall profitability.
• Manage stock control including counts, reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Oversee supplier invoicing, account reconciliation, payments and cost negotiations.
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations across POS and deposits.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support margin improvement initiatives.
• Maintain financial records for creditors, debtors and compliance requirements.
• Partner with operations teams to provide financial insights for daily decisions.
• Enforce strong controls over cash, stock and operational processes and improve related systems.

Required profile

• Finance‑related degree.
• Proven experience in the food and beverage industry (non‑negotiable).
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment and manage competing demands.

• Full accounting function knowledge.
