Accountant – Re/Insurance Portfolio

About the role

You will act as the trusted accounting partner for a portfolio of re/insurance structures, working closely with the Principal to deliver accurate and well‑presented financial work. This position offers hands‑on experience across a diverse range of clients while contributing to a collaborative, growth‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare unaudited financial statements for re/insurance clients.
• Assist with payment processes, regulatory filings, and preparation of board, shareholder, and committee meeting materials.
• Support client onboarding through CDD/KYC reviews, ongoing assessments, and workflow management across multiple structures.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations with the Principal, including communication with external consultants and service providers.
• Ensure all work meets quality, compliance, and risk standards, escalating issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Accounting degree or completion of a 3‑year SAICA article as an Accountant Trainee.
• Relevant accounting experience, preferably within re/insurance or financial services.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
