Accountant – Lanseria (R400K‑R600K)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our established engineering and construction business in Lanseria. The role supports the finance function by ensuring accurate reporting, managing month‑end processes and collaborating with operational teams. This position offers the chance to develop within a stable, growth‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Process intercompany transactions and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Manage fixed‑asset registers, calculate depreciation and prepare balance‑sheet schedules.
• Prepare VAT and other tax reconciliations and ensure timely statutory submissions.
• Oversee debtor and creditor accounts and provide support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a commercial setting.
• SAIPA articles completed; CIMA qualification is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work independently and partner with cross‑functional teams.
