About the role

Alumus, Family of Companies is looking for a motivated Accountant to join its growing healthcare team in the United States. The role focuses on month‑end close, financial statement preparation, and supporting accounts payable across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full‑cycle accounting for skilled nursing, senior housing, home health, and hospice facilities.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements.
• Perform account reconciliations and month‑end adjusting journal entries.
• Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll teams.
• Drive process and procedure improvements.
• Handle special projects for senior leadership as needed.
• Oversee state tax filings where applicable.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years applying GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Team‑oriented, self‑starter with strong time‑management and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles.
